McLaren sold the base for $ 237 million with a leaseback for 20 years

American investment company Global Net Lease announced the purchase of the base McLaren with the right to leaseback.

The leaseback agreement is for 20 years, which means that the team will continue to use the base, as well as pay taxes and maintenance. Thanks to the deal, McLaren will receive 170 million pounds ($ 237 million).

Since the start of the pandemic, the Woking team has received hundreds of millions of pounds from shareholders and a £ 150 million loan from the Bahrain National Bank. Also, part of the team's shares was sold to the investment company MSP Sports Capital.
