The judge himself wants to "speak like a man."
While everyone was discussing the initiative of the European top clubs to create the Super League, an equally epoch-making event happened in Russian football - referee Mikhail Vilkov was suspended from work in football for life.
The last straw was the match between Rostov and Lokomotiv in the 26th round of the RPL: Vilkov at first mistakenly did not send off Rostov midfielder Kento Hashimoto, then showed an unobvious yellow card to Armin Gigovich (it led to the removal of the player), and also awarded a penalty after falling in the penalty area of the guests of Lokomotiv midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.
On Monday, information about Vilkov's life-long suspension was confirmed by the head of the RFU Referee Committee Ashot Khachaturyants.
“The tough decision about Vilkov is this: a person will no longer judge. I think he shouldn't judge at all in football. This decision was made by me.
He will no longer be assigned to matches. Moreover, after being suspended for nine matches last year, I said that the loss of confidence is a very serious wording. I told him that serious mistakes should not be made that could reuse this wording in relation to him. "
Vilkov said that he learned about the suspension from the Internet - he contacted Kashshai, and he advised him to contact Khachaturyants directly.
“Officially, I have not heard anything about my dismissal. I want to talk to the manager personally - frankly and like a man... I called the reception of Ashot Khachaturyants and made an appointment with him. The date and time of our meeting are still unknown. "
The head of the RFU referee committee has already said that he is not going to meet with Vilkov - and he will not change his decision. On April 20, words of support from RPL clubs flew to Khachaturyants - those who offended Vilkov spoke out.
"Rostov": "Gratitude and full support to Ashot Rafailovich Khachaturyants"
The first is, of course, Rostov, who suffered in the match against Loko.
"Football club" Rostov "expresses gratitude and full support to Ashot Rafailovich Khachaturyants in his sincere attempts to put things in order in the refereeing of our football. A series of referee scandals in the RPL were followed by rather tough decisions by the leadership of the RFU Referee Committee ...
The problems of refereeing in Russian football have been accumulating for several decades - they cannot be fixed in one day. We see progress in solving these problems. That is why we trust ”.
The club president Artashes Harutyunyants also spoke separately: “It's not even about the match between Rostov and Lokomotiv - let's talk about football and refereeing in general. Judges like Vilkov should not work in our championship - they hinder its development ”.
Spartak: "We wish Ashot Rafailovich to make further progress"
The parade of respect to Khachaturyants was continued by Spartak, who won only 4 times in 27 matches under the refereeing of Vilkov:
"Spartak-Moscow" declares its full support of the Chairman of the RFU Referee Committee Ashot Khachaturyants. We are convinced that the latest tough decisions he made after a series of scandals should help to restore order in Russian refereeing.
We know that the policy pursued by the committee is supported by other Russian football clubs. We wish Ashot Rafailovich to make further progress in this difficult and very important issue! "
"Rubin": "We are sure that the actions of Ashot Rafailovich are fully thought out"
But the statement from Rubin - in October Vilkov was removed from refereeing due to mistakes in the match of the Kazan team. Referee thenviolated GAP protocolsand put a penalty when the moment was already played. For this mistake, Vilkov was first banned, and then returned for a trial period - and Mikhail failed.
“Football club“ Rubin ”fully supports the policy of the Chairman of the RFU Referee Committee Ashot Khachaturyants and welcomes his decisions.
Obviously, the Russian refereeing has accumulated problems that can only be solved by tough measures. We are confident that the actions of Ashot Rafailovich are fully thought out and will help to restore order. "
CSKA: "We hope that the level of refereeing under Ashot Rafailovich will only grow"
Support from CSKA, who were very dissatisfied with Vilkov in the match against Zenit in 2019.
“PFC CSKA fully supports the decisions of the chairman of the referee committee Ashot Khachaturyants, which are aimed at improving the quality of the work of referees and raising their qualifications.
We hope that the level of refereeing under Ashot Rafailovich will only grow. Fans are already seeing positive dynamics - our referees are again invited to work for the Champions League and Europa League matches, as well as for national teams.
We wish Khachaturian success in his difficult and very important work for the whole of Russian football! "
Krasnodar: "We are confident that Ashot Rafailovich will be firm and consistent"
Krasnodar, of course, is also in business.
FC Krasnodar declares its support for the decisions of the Chairman of the RFU Referee Committee, Ashot Khachaturyants, aimed at improving the quality of the work of referees. We believe that the consistent line of conduct of the referee committee at a distance will lead to an increase in the qualifications of Russian referees. We hope and are confident that Ashot Rafailovich will be firm and consistent in improving the quality of refereeing.
We wish Ashot Khachaturyants success in this matter! "
The next step, perhaps, is a statement from “Akhmat” - it was at the stadium of this team that Vilkov was named “Corrupt Judge” and “Goat”.
Profile on Khachaturyants: he worked with the FSB, helped Gref at the Ministry of Economic Development, and now at Sberbank
But back in March Vilkov gave an optimistic interview after returning to refereeing
